„Here you can fly” is the children’s anthem of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship.

The Subcarpathian Association for Active Families implemented a project from May 2018 to November 30 that resulted in the Children’s Anthem of Podkarpacie. „With us, you can fly”.. The video was created with the cooperation of many specialists, and the performers are children from various Subcarpathian localities.

 Partners of the project are: Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Rzeszowski Dom Kultury, Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, Polskie Radio Rzeszów, TVP3 Rzeszów and Gazeta Codzienna Nowiny.

The author of the song is Jan Marković, who faced the task of writing a non-trivial, accessible text for children, telling about the values of the region, its culture, and its history. The words have the effect of strengthening the sense of regional identity not only in the listeners, but also in those performing the song. 

The melody was composed by Tomasz Drachus; just like the text, it is refined in every detail and, at the same time, accessible to the youngest, light, and catchy. Listening to it sets a good mood and encourages singing along.

The performers of the song are children and young people from the Subcarpathian region; some are studying vocals, others are just beginning their adventure with music. The young artists met for the first time on the day of the recording, and thanks to expert conducting under the guidance of Karolina Kosak, they worked together to produce excellent results. 

The song was recorded in a recording studio courtesy of Polish Radio Rzeszów in cooperation with Jerzy Dziobak. 

The music video itself was recorded at the Rzeszów-Jasionka airport, where the young performers had the opportunity to enter places inaccessible to passengers. The airport even made the runway available to the children, where part of the music video was filmed. 

Jerzy Dowgiałło was responsible for the script, while the rest of the recording and video editing was supported by two Rzeszów-based performers, Tomasz Bugiel of HDStudio and Grzegorz Kamiński of Kamiński FilmStudio.

Objectives of the project: 

– To promote Podkarpacie, its culture, and cultural heritage, 

– Building a sense of local identity, especially among children, 

– Developing children’s cultural capital.
