Art therapy for women
Group Art Therapy for Women is a therapeutic and developmental method involving creativity and art. It uses various forms of art; musical, literary, theatrical, etc.
Art therapy gives space to discover, understand, and accept yourself and your needs.
Art therapy allows for non-verbal (not involving or using words) communication with yourself and other people. It is an ideal solution especially when we have difficulty talking about ourselves, our dreams, needs, problems, and emotions. It facilitates better internal integration with oneself and with other people. It allows you to get to know yourself better, discovering your strengths that can be used and developed.
You do not need to have artistic talent or an artistic sense to participate in art therapy. The process of creating is important, not the end result. Creative work combined with a conversation help you better understand yourself, your emotions, and attitudes.
For who?
For women who:
- want to understand themselves better, learn how to cope with the challenges of everyday life, and gain a different perspective on these challenges.
- have difficulty expressing themselves and their emotions only using words
- want to improve the quality of their lives because they experience various difficulties related to; hyperactivity, emotional tension, shyness, high sensitivity, lack of ability to express emotions, difficult experiences, health problems, developmental problems, or problems related to the risk of social exclusion.
What are the benefits?
- you can increase your sense of empowerment: you are in control of the materials and colors you want to work with.
- learn ways to change depressing thoughts.

The starting point for designing and implementing classes is based on the diagnosis of the needs of each individual/group. Classes are based on the developmental and therapeutic effect of art and the process of creation. However, they are also often based on the experience of being in a group of people with similar challenges, their goals, and needs at a similar stage of life. There you can (re)build a sense of community, acceptance and self-esteem.
