Subcarpathian Culture without Barriers: Social Diagnosis

The Subcarpathian Association for Active Families, in cooperation with Norsensus Mediaforum is implementing the „Subcarpathian Culture without Barriers” project. This is an international project that aims to support and develop the entrepreneurship of local creators, artists, heritage institutions, and cultural centers in Subcarpathian municipalities.

Through recruitment, five municipalities qualified for the project:

• Czarna Municipality
• Kołaczyce Municipality
• Narol Municipality
• Niwiska Municipality
• Świlcza Municipality

One of the stages of the project is a social diagnosis, which was carried out in each of the participating municipalities. Its purpose is to examine the needs of residents and cooperate with businesses in the field of cultural heritage. The surveys especially take into account national and ethnic minorities.

A survey and examination are currently underway to understand the expectations of local business representatives regarding their collaboration with cultural institutions and artists. The goal is to explore opportunities for commercializing their cultural offerings.

These activities will allow the implementation of cultural entrepreneurship and audience education strategies. Models for creating and organizing cultural activities with a cultural diversity perspective will be developed, and Norwegian cultural entrepreneurship practices that include minority groups will be used.

The project called „Subcarpathian Culture without barriers” benefits from a grant of EUR 313,842.82 received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA and Norwegian funds. The total value of the project including own contribution is PLN 1,685,963.64.
