Festival of Cultural Creators – report

Festival of Cultural Creators – report

On Saturday, July 1, the Polish-Norwegian “Festival of Cultural Creators at the Multimedia Fountain in Rzeszów” took place on a grand scale. The festival was organized by the Subcarpathian Association for Active Families in cooperation with the Norwegian organization Norsensus Mediaforum. The festival opened the project “Subcarpathian Culture Without Barriers”.

“Subcarpathian Culture Without Barriers” is an international project that aims to support and develop the entrepreneurship of local creators, artists, cultural heritage institutions, and cultural centers. It is aimed at cultural integration and promoting the cultural heritage of the regions from which the project participants come.

Artists from Poland and Norway presented their artistic work both on stage and in dedicated stands. It was a wonderful experience that strengthened international integration and culturally enriched our region.

A concert continued throughout the event, where artists from Poland and Norway presented their music by exchanging. Each artist was interviewed after their live performance about their experience and excitement about being at such an international festival. The interviews were translated into two languages, Polish and English, for our audience from different countries. In the meantime, it was also possible to look at the works and listen to stories from visual artists coming from the Subcarpathian region in Poland, as well as those who traveled all the way from Norway.

It was not only an opportunity to have a great time together, dancing and singing, but also to learn about cultures and styles of art, establish cooperation, and network for ideas on future joint projects.

At the beginning, the Ukrainian band BEREHYNI also joined the event. A special performance was also prepared by refugee children from the TUTU Center for Psychophysical Development, who sang for our guests the TUTU anthem, which they created during music classes at the Center.

Later, during the Festival of Cultural Creators, they performed for you:

Aga Walczak with her band – Poland

Maria Orieta – Norway

Sabina Kurek with band – Poland

Aleksandra Morozova – Norway

Somethingski & Projekt PUSZCZA – Poland

Bjorn Petter Tosse – Norway
